Go Big Orange/War Eagle!
Today was a disappointing loss for the Vols in the Swamp. Our team looked young and inexperienced on the field. It was also a double loss Saturday for the Shelton/Parsons, because Auburn lost to Clemson. For those that don't know, I grew up an avid Auburn fan (my dad was Auburn, class of '69) and I have wonderful memories of my dad and I in Jordan Hare stadium. David grew up an insatiable UT fan due to his memories with his grandparents, Foster & Lavell, and his Aunt Mel and Uncle Bobby. I am a Tennessee College of Law alum and over the past three years have become enthralled with Big Orange football. There is enough love in my heart for both SEC teams.
The purpose of this blog is to keep our friends and family up to date on our somewhat mundane lives. David and I surpassed our newlywed year in May, but we're more in love than ever. We're each other's friend, cheerleader, therapist, support system, and soul mate.
As our website suggests, we love our pooch, Gypsy Rose Lee. Gypsy was named after the amazing burlesque dancer of the same name. Gypsy is our heart and soul and we are madly in love with her.
As an update, David was just promoted at Chipotle. He is now officially an Apprentice. This is an amazing opportunity for him and we are so grateful that he has found a career that he loves. I am still looking for legal work and praying that the right thing comes along...something that inspires me and stirs up the feeling of passion that I went to law school to achieve.
